Association of Asia Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions (AACC)

U Kyaw San and Daw Nan Sandar San, Members of the Constitutional Tribunal of the Union, attended the meeting and international conference of the Association of Asia Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions (AACC) held through videoconferencing on 26 and 27 August.

CHAIRPERSON of the Constitutional Tribunal of the Union U Myo Nyunt and Member U Myint Win joined the 4th Congress of AACC (Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions) which was held via video conferencing on 26-27 August 2020.

U Hla Htay, Director General of the Constitutional Tribunal of the Union, attended the Secretary General Meeting of AACC held in Bali, Indonesia on 2nd November 2019.  Secretary Generals, Director Generals and Chief of Staff of the Constitutional Courts, the Supreme Courts and equivalent institutions of Korea, Indonesia, Pakistan, Thailand, Russia, Myanmar and other AACC Memb

The Conference which was hold on 12nd July, 2010 in Jakata, Indonesia, made approval to establish the AACC. Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Mogolia, Malaysia, Phillipine and Uzebkistan were members since AACC began. Currently, there are totally 16 Members Countries in AACC. They are 

The Constitutional Tribunal of the Union of Myanmar tried to membership since 2011. And then Myanmar was agreed as a member of AACC in 2013. After that the Constitutional Tribunal of the Union of Myanmar participates as a member of AACC actively. AACC is formed by 16 members countries including Myanmar. The Constitutional Tribunal of the Union of Myanmar attended Inaugural Congress of AACC which held in May, 2012, Korea and in 2016, Indonesia.
